Film Photography

I returned to film photography during a flurry of efforts to get myself off my phone. I bought a weighty Minolta X-700 (Mino, my beautiful thicc boi) and a charmingly flimsy “reusable disposable” and set forth. The limited number of frames and the inability to check them after an image is taken forces me to look at the world more attentively.

I’m uncertain that much else about my phone purge stuck quite so resolutely, but I’m still lugging Mino around in my tiny backpack. As with seemingly every aspect of my creative process, what I shoot follows the random paths of my eclectic interests, functioning more like a visual journal than an art exhibit.
